Accountant. Born in 1965 Mr. Jimenez has a degree in business administration and is a certified public accountant. He is a member of the college of public accountants of Costa Rica and has worked as the external auditor for Pannell Kerr Forster, one of the largest consulting and accounting firms worldwide. He further specializes in the financial administration of real-estate development projects and audits. He is the in-house accountant for Alvarez, Jimenez de Pass.

1978 – 1985 Was the production manager for a real estate development company and was responsible for all aspects of the construction of 1350 homes. 1985 – 2000 As an independent professional he has managed around 50 projects of different kinds such as homes, condominiums, industrial buildings, sports facilities and Tourism projects. Involved in: Feasibility studies, Architectural and structural design, Permits and Planning, Estimates, Constructionand Supervision. 1985 – 2000 Tought as a Professor of Construction at Universidad de Costa Rica.

1995 to 2000 Was the appraiser for KPMG Costa Rica and has worked for the bigger accountancy firms as well as for the Costa Rican government.

Founded Grupo Inarva in 2000. This group now specializes in providing a wide range of engineering and other services to real estate developers in Costa Rica.

Born in 1966 in the Netherlands. Since 1995 living and working in Costa Rica. Graduate of the International Agricultural University Larenstein (IAHL 1994), the Netherlands; Engineers title (B.Sc.) in Management and Silviculture of Tropical Forests with emphasis on Plantation forestry and Agro-forestry systems. Prior to this study he studied successfully at the Senior School for Forestry, Land and Water management (MBCS 1988) and graduated in Forest Management, operation and Silviculture of moderate climate forests. During and between studies he did internships in the Philippines, Portugal and U.SA.

Additional training: Human Resources course (Universidad de Distancia, 1999, Costa Rica), Practical course Plantation Plagues and Diseases (Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica, 1998, Costa Rica), European Forestry course on production and recreation (IAHL Velp/ Universite de Luik, The Netherlands/ Belgium, 1994).

MSc in Plant Breeding, Tropical and Horticultural crops from the Agricultural University of Wageningen, the Netherlands. PhD in Environmental Plant Physiology in 1995 from the University of Minnesota.

1996 -2001: Employed by EARTH University, Las Mercedes de Guácimo, on Landscape Design and Implementation Projects from 2002-2005: Manages an organic herb and lettuce farm that produced for export and local (Costa Rican) market. This work consists of propagation and production planning, and quality control of 18 different aromatic and medicinal herb species, fennel, spinach and several different lettuce varieties.

Has done consultancy and farm assessments for private businesses, in a number of Latin American countries.

Scott MacDougall was born in 1963 in the United States, and began his professional real estate development career in Toronto, Canada in the late 1980’s. Scott came to Costa Rica in 1992 with a Canadian based development company and was the co-manager of a 110-unit villa project. After successfully selling out the project, Scott and two partners began their own construction and real estate company. In 1996 Scott accepted the position of Director of Sales and Marketing for the highly successful Los Suenos Resort and Marina project, Costa Rica’s only fully amenitized coastal community development. Scott left Los Suenos in 2001 to return to help co-manage and develop a 60-acre estate lot development in the Playa Hermosa area in Guanacaste. Presently, Scott is responsible for the management and development of a number of successful lot and condominium developments and has -over the years- accumulated tremendous knowledge and experience on every aspect of real estate development in Costa Rica .

Born 1939 in Amsterdam the Netherlands. Graduate of the Municipal University in Amsterdam. (BA in Law 1964). Joined the Amsterdam Bar and practiced real-estate law in Amsterdam for over 38 years. Partner in the law office of Boekel de Neree,now one of the largest law firms in the Netherlands. Specialist in real estate matters. Legal advisor for the Amsterdam Association of Real Estate agents 1973-2001, now an honorary member of that association. Semi retired since 2002 and since active as legal advisor in private practice.
